A membership to Native Parks allows you to stay over night, meet the people and experience these private properties first hand.

• Stay safe and retain the benefits of freedom camping. Save the hassle and time wasted looking for somewhere to stop for the night. Relax with the peace of mind you are on private land and not exposed while sleeping in a public space.

So what is Native Parks and how do you start enjoying the benefits?

• The Native Parks guidebook includes maps and directions to Motorhome Havens (properties where you can overnight), regional information giving you a taste for what’s to come, along with freedom camping rules and farmers' market locations.
• To access overnight stays throughout New Zealand you require a Native Parks membership. The membership pack includes your introduction card and the Native Parks guidebook. You can join online securely through this website.
• Membership is only available to travellers in fully self-contained rental motorhomes and campervans.

By restricting memberships Native Parks works hard to ensure there are plenty of places for you to stay. Memberships are currently available and can be purchased on-line today. From the 1st of September 2010 new Native Parks memberships shall see a slight increase to $75NZD, naturally existing membership shall be uneffected.
